FAT ?

I believe nobody like to be overweight, oversize or simply large and fat. However, one just could stand to the temptation of being comfortable, enjoying favourite foods especially the oily or fried foods.

The photos that I pasted as follow would describe your immediate preference if you do have a choice ?

a)

b)

(This is not a sexy topic..okay)

I believe all will choose the photo b) as I myself would love to have it or merely "watching" it. Then, why there still many overweight (sadly me included) out there ? I don't know and again blame it to the indiscipline in maintaining good diet and temptation created by the skinny people ??? (well well well, it is our own choice and indeed we have a choice)

We are what we eat ! I choose my eating pattern, type and etc and nobody will actually be able to gun point on what I want to eat though few times, my bosses use soft tactics to press me to eat more as they always say...young man have the capacity and can eat more...(but I do listen to pretty gals :) ).

Now, with "Ah Mo Ni 2008" already into 29 days...I have not really started my diet regime...again my diet plan crashed ! ...Nevermind, "ngeaw choo ni" is just around the corner...let's get started...

Before reboot...let's go down to my weight memory lane...
a) Before going to KL in 1990, my weight was about 100kg...after 12 months, it dropped to 86 kg and maintained for about 5 years.
b) By the time I was back in Kuching in 1997, my weight was 92 kg and then there is no stopping in the next 8 years when it reached the peak at 123kg.
c) It came to my senses in end of 2004, I started the nutritious breakfast cutting out rice/carbo and go for more fruits...I have managed to cut a whoppy 18 kg within 3 months and maintained for nearly 2 years...
d) Then in Oct 2006, I was seconded to KL for 6 months...my weight gradually increase as still on and off I take nutrituous breakfast menu...however my weight still go up to 110kg due to a lot of drinking sessions to please...
e) Last 8 months after coming back from KL, I have kampua/kolok/laksa almost every other day (no wonder lah..) my weight definitely goes up as expected by another 4 kg and now is 113kg (the last I weight in was on first week of January...may be now is 115...;\)
Enough is enough...no more self accomodation...I have set my target to achieve a healthy weight at 100 kg by 30 April 2008 2008(BTW, for my height at 6 foot, my ideal weight for my height is 72 kg ...hehehe...how to achieve this fairy weight, another 30% reduction...huh ?).

What do you think ? Is this realistic ? (on my first approach on 100 kg and not the 72 kg,..of course)) Any advice ? Anyone want to challenge ?

The write up arrangement is as such to confuse readers..hehehe..

A Nice Cosy Home

Many including myself always look forward to a nice warm and cosy home especially after a hard labour at office during the day. A house is probably the biggest asset one could invest apart from himself or herself, therefore many would want to have it in the most perfect look that one could wish.

Recently I have been to one show house and I am very impressed with its interior design and how I wish I could have the same or similar cosy environment (plus the maintenance of the environment at all times). At that moment of time..as God fearing person, I was reminded by one sharing of my sisters as she mentioned that

"we would always want the best for our earthly home to be...and we are willing to work very hard to earn the money to pay the best we could and throughout our life, we will be bearing it. But then again, as Christian, are we not curious and wishing for the best home in heaven. How much have we invested to ensure we are there ? or have we started ?"

*****

A house is an asset and it is not a home. A home is a house. A home is more than just asset as it will fulfill our life.

*****

There are many homeless people in this planet due to many reasons. Be grateful what we have...a house to our home...

Just be grateful what we have and appreciate to the last drop of our tears..

*****

Chinese New Year is just another 10 days...I have not decorated my house as yet...as I am busy with my company's budget and business planning for the last two weeks. This weekend, I need to put up the decoratives as my wife has started to remind me...hey...reminding is a serious matter and must be duly taken care.

Frog Meal

I have a delicious exotic dinner just now...guess what, one of the dishes is "the frogs" or the "Chui Keh". It has been quite a while that I did not have them since 2 years back in Sibu. It tasted like chicken plus fish and the soup is real tonic !

Traffic Lights In Our Life

Everyday I have passed through many traffic lights and just between my house to my office, I need to go through at least 5 of them subject to which road I used of course.

Is there any significant of their existence in our life ? On surface basis, it is designed to regulate traffic flows and the junction of a road. Deep inside as I reflect to life, we also have unseen "traffic lights" working in our day to day life. We need them to regulate our life especially the usage/flow of our timing in managing events especially those concurrent happenings.

Each and every action of ours may need such guidance to approve go (green), consider (yellow) or stop (red). Experience will help one to facilitate this operation of traffic light functions effectively.

When this traffic system broke down, the service of policeman will take over for while that is when help is required when one needed most.

When we tried to jump the lights, we are riding at our own risks ? It is much more complex as I thought further...

***

Traffic lights could be a person in your life or the method we use to live life to the fullest or whatelse...

Born in the Year of Pig (Chinese Zodiac)

"People born in the Year of the Pig are chivalrous and gallant. Whatever they do,
they do with all their strength. For Boar Year people, there is no left or right
and there is no retreat. They have tremendous fortitude and great honesty. They
don’t make many friends but they make them for life, and anyone having a Boar
Year friend is fortunate for they are extremely loyal. They don’t talk much but
have a great thirst for knowledge. They study a great deal and are generally
well informed. Boar people are quick tempered, yet they hate arguments and
quarreling. They are kind to their loved ones. No matter how bad problems seem
to be, Boar people try to work them out, honestly if sometimes impulsively. They
are most compatible with Rabbits and Sheep."

Your Best Life Now

Beside N95 8G, my darling gave me a book titled "Your Best Life Now" by Joel Osteen as Christmas gift...I have not open up a single page as yet...but will start tonight so that I could update myself the latest art of appreciating life.

When I reflected at those less fortunates, I am indeed very blessed by God for having a good and comfortable life and I thank with my wholeness for His LOVE for me and my family.

So, to appreciate this goodness of life, my determination is continually sharing the goodness of my life with the people in need and less fortunates not neccesarily just from the point of material benchmark but spiritual or mental states.

Will share further on the gist of the book in my next blog soon...

Have a nice weekend...

tHe Spring, Biggest and prettiest among all

On Thursday evening, I went to tHe Spring for my dinner and to my surprise the flow is smooth though there are a lot of cars. This latest shopping mall dubbed the mini Mid-Valley has just been officially open on Wednesday by our beloved CM and Thursday is open to the public.
As I observed the set up, it is definitely more professional and the surrounding are clean and orderly manner. At least 60-70% shops are already opened and this is in total contrast to Boulevard.
Indeed the feeling when inside there is like in Mid-Valley....as they also of North, East, South and West Court.

The above picture is the spring design at the food court. A lot of people, the food is pricy but because of the ambience, I think it is worth it...
Thumb up for the management for putting up a great mall for Kuchingnites.

20th Anniversary T-shirt, what do you think ?

As I chat about the coming 20th Reunion Gathering which is coming soon...I thought of suggesting to the committee to print a special edition of this Reunion as souvenir. I do not know whether how good will be the response is plus I have not even mentioned to the OC...(that why I only put up in my personal blog..:))

With Heroes, we have proceeded to check on the pricing...and it came to about RM40 per piece with specially made logos sew on it...which we felt is affordable but of course do not know how well it will be received by our old classmates...

We are looking at printing 50 pieces to sell at the Reunion (on free will basis, no requirement).

To illustrate the actual T-shirt....I have taken a photo on the colour of the T-shirt...(blue green...represent evergreen spirit... (those hands are Heroes')

Then...a special logo to be sew on the left breast of the shirt...

At the back, we will sew our blog's address to promote the surfing on this blog for latest update between our old classmates...

What do you think ? Sincerely is this a good idea ?? Will you buy one for yourself and one for your spouse or friend ?

If yes, please reply...and place your order with your size...(M, L, XL, XXL)...

1st Day in Primary School

On the 3rd of Jan, yeap...it is 3 days back....the alarm set for 6.00a.m the night before has not ring...as it is only 5.30 a.m., Rachel has already awaken from her sleep but I have told her that the alarm has not ring. She said that she could not sleep as she want to prepare herself to go to school.

I could not remember my feeling on the first day in Primary School back in 1978 (that was 30 years back..of course..lah) but I am sure it is just like my little Rachel very eager for her first day at the school.

The first day was very exciting for her as she relates to me in the evening though she felt the tiredness in her. That is of course as the class at 7.30a.m but she must be in school latest 7.15 a.m. The class only finishes at 12.55p.m. That is five and a half hours time spent in the school. It is longer hours when compared to her Kindi time (8.00 a.m to 11 a.m) and she would take her lunch at 12 noon.(but now...she will only be able to take lunch at 1.30pm)

As parents, our tasks is more diversified now though the main responsibility (may be becoming more intense) overall still remain the same. We need to juggle our time and provide different needs at different level and time. Soon, she will need to go for tuition class not only on her school subjects, but for Art or Music plus sports as what I have been considering in my mind for the last few months. That means additional expenses will kick in.

That first day, though we have arranged a school bus to pick her from the school to her old Kindi, I went also at 12.55 p.m just to ensure the arrangement is smoothly done. As I observe her from far, I am very happy to see that she is very attentive in the class although her classmates are already felt restless as some of the parents were just standing beside the windows. When she saw me, she gracefully wave her right hand softly and smile sweetly to me. I was actually standing about 30 metres from her class's windows. I can see her spirit much liften (I think that is motivational)

I can feel that the satisfaction of being parents (especially when I have my own children as I look back to my parents) is to see your children grown up as a good, filial and useful person. Don't we agree ?

A New Beginning

A brand new beginning has started since one and half hours ago.... Everything that we have done in 2007 has became history. All sweetness & bitterness events have became our learning experiences.

For the start of this new year 2008, Kuching City has experienced heavy rains (since 7pm on 31/12/2007) as though a deep cleansing activity has been carried out...bringing out fresh starting for a great new year. It is still raining heavily till now...at 1.57am..

Millions of millions text messages again been circulated around...giving extra bonuses to the Telcos. I myself have lost count on how many messages that I have sent...and I would not be able to send to all friends as at this stage, costing needs to be in check as I just learnt petrol price set to increase soon :).

Therefore in cost saving mode (hehehe), I take this "platinum" opportunity to wish all readers especially my friends of SHS Alumni 8890 a very happy, healthy, gracious, peaceful, hopeful and prosperous new year. Amen.
