Hoi...Wrong Type of Lemon

No wonder, I didn't get my desired result..lah ! It's all because I had sucked the wrong type of lemon for the past 2 months. When consulted my colleagues over the matter, she gave me the sample of the real type...as per the one oval look and not the two roundish type...

The oval look is the real local lemon...and tested a slight alkaline as advised by my experience colleague. The other one that I sucked is acidic...provide not the right effects..

So, I will try this one again for the next 3 weeks and by 8/5/2008, I will publish my achievement....(silently...aiming for 8kg reduction in 3 weeks..sshhh !). Wish me luck !

Watch and Control Your Petrol Consumption

I have spent RM443.04 on petrol for my Matrix 1.6 Auto for the month of March and it exceeded my usual estimation of RM300.00. This is probably due to the fact that I do not track exactly by the amount but rather by the number of days since the last pumping of petrol @ 5-6 days.

Few days ago, when I chatted with my customers, they said it is normal as they usually spent RM500 average a month for their 2.0l vehicles. Though I have not being really concern on such spending on petrol since the first day I own a car, but with more responsibilities ahead of me, it is a serious wake up call as I go through my credit card statement, I must scrutinise further to ensure every drop of petrol is well burn.

So, if this is going to be a monthly affair, it is going to be tough ! Those hundred saved can be channelled to my children education funds ! or make my dream comes faster, isn't not ?

With the early warning of high consumption from my friends who had Matrix, I have actually already add special Nano addictives to the petrol which is believed to be able to save my petrol consumption by as much as 23%. I believe it had done so but may be due to my concentration to sales activities lately plus heavy travelling to my new house every afternoon during lunch time, the figure shoot up...

Rumour is great that there will be another increase in the petrol soon...but the rice will increase first ? Well, I can stop eating rice as to slim down but my Matrix must consume petrol to bring me and family around....so with every part/little increase here and there, the total sum of the number will make our financial at real stretch and give pressure to ourself.

Just be wary...I am reminding myself...and also all of you that consume petrol !

Special Function of Mobile Phone

Just got a interesting email from a friend and I thought it is worthwhile to share with all;

4 THINGS YOU PROBABLY NEVER KNEW YOUR MOBILE PHONE COULD DO

There are a few things that can be done in times of grave emergencies. Your mobile phone can actually be a life saver or an emergency tool for survival. Check out the things that you can do with it:

FIRST : EmergencyThe Emergency Number worldwide for Mobile is 112.
If you find yourself out of the coverage area of your mobile; network and there is an emergency, dial 112 and the mobile will search any existing network to establish the emergency number for you, and interestingly this number 112 can be dialed even if the keypad is locked. Try it out.

SECOND : Have you locked your keys in the car?
Does your car have remote keyless entry? This may come in handy someday. Good reason to own a cell phone: If you lock your keys in the car and the spare keys are at home, call someone at home on their mobile phone from your cell phone. Hold your cell phone about a foot from your car door and have the person at your home press the unlock button, holding it near the mobile phone on their end. Your car will unlock. Saves someone from having todrive your keys to you. Distance is no object. You could be hundreds of miles away, and if you can reach someone who has the other "remote" for your car, you can unlock the doors (or the trunk).
Editor's Note: It works fine! We tried it out and it unlocked our car over a mobile phone!"

THIRD : Hidden Battery PowerImagine your mobile battery is very low.
To activate, press the keys *3370# Your mobile will restart with this reserve and the instrument will show a 50% increase in battery. This reserve will get charged when you charge your mobile next time.

FOURTH : How to disable a STOLEN mobile phone?
To check your Mobile phone's serial number, key in the following digits on your phone: * # 0 6 # A 15 digit code will appear on the screen. This number is unique to your handset. Write it down and keep it somewhere safe. When your phone get stolen, you can phone your service provider and give them this code. They will then be able to block your handset so even if the thief changes the SIM card, your phone will be totally useless. You probably won't get your phone back, but at least you know that whoever stole it can't use/sell it either. If everybody does this, there would be no point in people stealing mobile phones.

T.G.I Friday's

T.G.I. Friday stands for Thank God It's Friday.

My first visit to this nice cosy restaurant cum cafe was way back in 1995 (the building in the photo is somewhere else), the first month when I started working in Jalan Raja Chulan, KL as a management trainee. I do not really know or appreciate why the owner called themself T.G.I and not until now I began to appreciate Friday's mood...

Why ? because tonight is a Friday night and I can stay up late as tomorrow is a holiday...so I can still wake up early and can take afternoon nap as I like...don't you agree ? After slog for 5 days, we deserve a good break, is it not ? A break away from the office discipline...

Today is the time to let loose a bit to reflect the whole week's performance and recollection of those productivity time. Today is also the time to chart the next week's programme with team members.

Well, may be it is all in our mind,...just because tomorrow, we do not need to clock in office...that is why we are loosen up...hehehe...then if we could control our mindset, we can have everyday a Friday, everyday is a great day ! right ?...

In KL, we will have Happy Friday whereby we will gang up to have bars hopping till we drop...what a sweet time...having those boostering drinks as we sing and get drunk in arms...

Cheers !

9th Marriage Registration Anniversary

We remembered our 9th Official Marriage Anniversary yesterday with SMSes (cheap...ya..just RM0.12 x 2..hehehe).

Official means registered with the government whilst our registration with God is on 29th May.

Frankly, I am more incline to celebrate the solemnise date rather that the April Fool...as it is more meaningful although officially in the eyes of the government we are legal partners since 1st April. With the blessing and full ceremeony plus dinner...it is a wonderful experience, a declaration to our relatives and friends where everyone will send in their best wishes...we are king and queen for the day !

In fact, in May that particular year, I still remember two other friends (Mr. Tee and Stephen C.) also ended their bachelorhood. Mr. Tee reminded to go for 10th Anniversary big do (he proposed during our last kopi-talk).

I think so, may be go for another honeymoon in Europe (10 days) as my first one was Gold Coast, Australia (4 nights/5 days). This year, we will not go far except for KL/Genting trip in May 2008, as need to conserve M-power for house renovations.

***

Appreciation to reflect on this life partnership is crucial and needed for long term. In our Catholic Church, we have programme for marriage renewal blessing for spouses to renew their vows. It is to remind us on the vow that we took and announce it to all..."in sickness and in health, in poor and in wealth, we will remain united to the last day"

***

But before the 10th...I must first prepare well for the 9th Anniversary's gift/celebration...(as my few seniors had warned me over the years...don't play-play with the home minister (now cracking my head...)).
