How Is Life Without A Friend ?

A question seems difficult to understand as one would have a friend somehow, somewhere or someone unless he or she is living in an Island, like Robinson Crusoe ?

A friend can be your wife, family members, sons or daughters, another human beings (some may befriend with their pet animals like dogs or cats...) I know that LIFE without a friend would be meaningless, boring, no worth to live on. Therefore, never try to live alone as we would not be successful. We are all meant to live together as friends. Even those living in old folks, mentally retarded, inmates in social welfare homes, beggars, robbers, killers have friends. They wish to interact, talk, share or give in whatever capacity that they have. Bottom line is that we are not a loner.

I have asked a friend on this same question recently, his reply was, "He is shocked and could not comprehend or imagine one does not have a friend."

Even an enemy can become friends when ciscumstances is right especially when one is in need of the others and the other is willing to forgive and move on.

So, what if Friend ? A friend is one who is able to share, talk to, care and be there for you or dies for you ? Think above it...and value a friend.

A friend of mine was asking me the same question recently....maybe its just coincident....anyway i cant imagine a person without a friend in his/her life??? That's would be a horrible thing to imagine...A person must have friends in order to share his/her feeling, up & down, etc...but remember never take for granted....

I'm 50 and have no friends. I am married and have kids and a large famiy - these are the people I rely on. But I have never experienced a real friendship.....one that lasts and is deep and genuine. I've experienced people who were "friendly" but then moved on - never anyone who has stuck by me or shown they were there for me no matter what. No one has ever sought me out to be my friend. It's a very lonely existence.

Friends are over rated, i am yet to meet one worth keeping, i have none and happy to say that, No friends is better than fake friends like i have seen so many times in 30 odd years gone by.
People are selfish it is in there nature,

My idea of a friend is some one who puts your interests ahead of there own at least for minor things on occasions as a minimum,

I am yet to meet a person who dose this, it is always me me me never anything more.

I use to get depressed about it, now i just realize it is human nature,

We are the most selfish species to walk the planet along with a few other primates who share our selfishness, common DNA i guess. no other animal will hunt as a pack and once the kill is made take it and run as fast as possible away from the group and hide just to keep it for them self even if there is too much to eat, it would rather leave it to rot.
